Be sure the company you hire KNOWS what they’re doing…Questions to ask:
1. Length of time in business as a MOLD Professional, not just a builder, or contractor(will they be here in 6 months or a year if a problem arises?)
2. Do they follow guidelines for their project—what’s their complete protocol, start to finish?
3. Are they looking to just undercut a professional company that has scoped out the job for them? Or have they provided you with a quality written estimate of work to be performed?
4. Are they licensed in the State of Michigan with the Department of Agriculture for the application or products?
5. Are they certified?
6. Are they a contractor just going to perform demo work?
7. Do they have General and Professional Liability Insurance (that covers mold work)?
8. Do they have a Worker’s Comp policy for their employees?
Do not become liable for injuries on your property and bad workmanship…it’s not worth it!
